Jaribha's core individuals

  • Who is Jaribha?

Not who, but what - Jaribha is an online platform that facilitates and manages contributions, allowing "project owners" also known as "Creators” to share their projects to get Supporters to contribute and make their projects come to life. The website allows Creators to develop and detail their projects on their own individual pages and gain support through Supporters that want to support projects based on their own personal interests and reaping token and modest rewards.

  • Who is the “Creator”?

The Creator is any project owner on Jaribha, or any person submitting an idea on Jaribha that desires exposure, feedback and community support to reach the Project Goal following the all-or-nothing method.

  • Who is the “Supporter”?

The person contributing to a project. They can be friends, family or simply any member of the community who has supported a project.

  • Who are the Sponsors?

Sponsors are users who choose to affiliate themselves with certain projects and Creators. Sponsors support projects by including their logos on their selected project pages. Users can sponsor pages, however Creators are still fully responsible for their own projects.

Sponsor: A company or an individual that wishes to sponsor a project.

To become a sponsor, click on "become a Sponsor" button found in the project page.

  • What is a Community?

A community is a social unit of any size that shares common values. An individual can create a project and choose the community they belong to, thus giving Creators a sense of credibility, and the community good exposure.

  • How can I connect to Jaribha on social media?

Creating a project

  • How do I create a project?

If you have a project or an idea that you want to see come to life, you can submit it here by clicking Start Project. You must ensure your project follows all of Jaribha guidelines and requirements.
As a Creator on Jaribha, you are responsible in creating videos, content, images and plans of your idea or project, as well as list the total amount of support you will need to raise in order to execute it.
You must also create different support categories and amounts, which also include rewards for each support category. The number of support categories is up to you, the Creator.

  • Does Jaribha process and review all projects before they launch?

Yes - after you submit all your details, our team will review the details of your project and contact you with a status update within 1-3 weeks. Jaribha's review process is to keep the website as safe and secure as possible for Supporters and Creators.

  • Do all submitted projects get approved?

Jaribha is the sole decision maker in approving projects. While reserving its right not to approve any project for any reason, only projects that meet Jaribha's guidelines and requirements will get approved. To learn more about Jaribha's guidelines, please click here

Creators

  • What is the Project Goal or Goal Amount?

The Project Goal or the Goal Amount is the amount set by the Creator that the Creator believes represents the minimum amount needed to complete the project and fulfill all rewards

  • What is the “all-or-nothing” method?

This is the method that Jaribha is based on. The "all-or-nothing" method means Creators must generate the entire required amount to hit the Project Goal they desire within the Project Period. If Creators are unable to generate the Goal Amount, then they get nothing in return and all the support generated during the Project Period will be given back to their Supporters.

  • After a project reaches its Goal Amount and is successfully supported, does Jaribha acquire some percentage of the project's ownership? ?

Jaribha doesn't take ownership of any project or idea submitted. It is the Creator's complete responsibility in following through with their project.

  • Who can create a project?

Jaribha accepts filmmakers, musicians, artists, designers, NGO volunteers, athletes and more who all have an independent project, campaign, invention, or event they need to materialize. A Creator is anyone who has a project or idea that fits Jaribha's guidelines and requirements.

  • Can I accept support after the duration has ended?

Supporting opportunities on Jaribha are limited to the Project Period and will automatically be closed at the end of the Project Period. You will not be allowed to accept any contributions to your projects on Jaribha past your deadline.

  • What is the Project Period?

It is the Creator's deadline to reach the Project Goal. The duration is set by the Creator but may not exceed 120 days.

  • What happens when my Goal Amount is not reached?

Jaribha will set your project's status as unsuccessful. You may create a new project with the same exact idea if you wish. Unsuccessfully supported projects will be kept on the site.

  • What happens when my Goal Amount is reached and/or passed?

Our team will review the details and provide the Creator with the raised support 1-3 weeks from the end of the Project Period less the Project Fee.

  • What is the Project Fee?

Successfully supported projects will incur a 10% fee, deducted from the total generated Goal Amount. The fee includes Jaribha’s fee, third party fees and wire transfer fees and thus are subject to change without notice (please see Terms and Conditions for more details).

  • What is the minimum and maximum Goal Amount?

There is no minimum or maximum Goal Amount for Creators. That is left up to their project requirements.

  • Do all projects require a Goal Amount and a Project Period?

Yes, all projects require a Goal Amount and a Project Period of a maximum duration of 120 days.

  • Can I create more than one project at the same time?

Yes, each Creator is allowed to have as many active and public projects at any given time.

  • What type of projects will not be approved?

Projects must follow Jaribha's guidelines and requirements. Projects must also fall under one of Jaribha's categories. Please see Guidelines and Terms and Conditions.

  • Can I edit my project after it goes live?

Creators can adjust and amend their projects up until it goes live on the website. Once the details are set and the public can view the project, the Creator can no longer adjust their project page. However, Creators can include updates to their projects at any time, with an ability to reach out to their Supporters at any time.

  • Can I change my Goal Amount after my project goes live?

No, the Goal Amount can only be adjusted before submitting the project to us. Once submitted, the Creator can no longer change the amount. Jaribha encourages all Creators to detail and plan their projects before going live to ensure they meet and obtain their target.

  • Can I change my rewards?

Once a project is submitted, the Creator can no longer change their rewards. Jaribha encourages all Creators to detail and plan their projects before going live to ensure they place accurate and realistic rewards.

  • Can I terminate my project before the end date?

Once the project is live, the Creator cannot delete or terminate the project. Jaribha's team will be authorized to take down projects at any time should they feel they are violating any guidelines or requirements. Creators are urged to alert Jaribha's team of any reasons to take down a project and Jaribha's team will review requests case-by-case.

Supporters

  • Who is the "Supporter"?

The person contributing to a project. They can be friends, family or simply any member of the community who has supported a project.

  • How do I support a project?

To support a project, you must first set-up an account with Jaribha. Once you've gone through the needed registration process you can view different projects and support them by using your debit or credit card. The minimum amount to contribute on Jaribha is $10 (please see Terms and Conditions for more details).

  • Who can support a project?

Anybody can support a project! Of course, as long, as you are at least 18 years of age and have a debit or credit card. Support a project you would like to see come to life, any project that interests you or maybe support a Creator you want to see succeed. Remember, projects and Creators will only be successful because of you.

  • How does supporting work?

First, choose the project you would like to support and then choose the amount you would like to contribute.
Contribution amounts are predetermined based on the Rewards. However, you may submit an amount that is not a predetermined option as long as the amount is equal to or higher than the reward amount that you chose.

  • What happens when my Goal Amount is not reached?

If the project doesn't reach the Project Goal in the time allocated, then Jaribha will reimburse Supporters with the money they've contributed. There may be some amounts deducted depending on any third party fees (please see Terms and Conditions for more details).

  • Is there a minimum or maximum contribution amount?

The minimum amount to contribute on Jaribha is $10 (please see Terms and Conditions for more details). However, there is no maximum.

What you contribute will only be shared with the Creator. The general public will not have access to your contribution amount. You can see this in your profile.

  • When supporting a project, what information will the Creator receive from my contribution?

Creators will be able to see how much you've contributed to their project along with any personal information you choose to share.
Please note that Creators will have access to your name, phone number and delivery address in order to provide their contribution reward once the project successfully reaches its goal.

  • How do I know the project I’m supporting is legitimate?

Supporters must decide themselves on the credibility and worthiness of each project and contribute to the projects with Creators that have detailed their production plan. Jaribha has a team of professionals to evaluate and assess each project and Creator before allowing them to establish a project page. Jaribha also has basic criteria that Creators need to meet before they are given project pages. However, since Jaribha has no ownership of the project, it is the Creator who is the only one responsible in following-through with their project.

Basic ways to determine the credibility of the project:

    • Does the Creator share enough background information, steps, outlines, details etc. about their project?
    • Does the Supporter know other people that have supported the project?
    • Does the Supporter know the Creator personally?
    • Did the Supporter hear about the project and Creator from a friend or family member?
    • Has the Supporter heard a lot of positive feedback about the project and Creator online or through social media channels? Jaribha requires Creators to share their names and basic information about themselves, which means Creators risk their reputation if they do not complete their projects as promised. Supporters can also connect with Creators and ask questions before and after contributing.

Count on it - The Creator is encouraged to provide Supporters with updates on the go and during major milestones. Also, Jaribha will send an email to all Supporters when a project successfully reaches its goal amount

  • Can I withdraw my support?

Once a Supporter has contributed to a project, they may not withdraw their support. This is to ensure we don't add any challenges or disappointments to the Creator's project. • My debit card or credit card got declined, what happens now?

    3. As part of Jaribha's responsibility toward the Cause humanitarian projects, Jaribha’s fee will be contributed toward the projects.

Rewards

  • What are rewards?

Rewards are modest giveaways given to Supporters as a token of appreciation for their contribution to a project. Rewards are determined and produced by the Creator during the planning phase of the project. Creators must provide the allocated rewards to their Supporters should their projects be successfully supported. If the project is unsuccessfully supported, then the Creator is not committed to providing rewards.

  • How do I create a reward?

Rewards should be simple and modest. Different rewards may be created, and they should be fair. For example, a Supporter who has contributed $500 should receive a more enticing reward than a Supporter who has contributed $30.

  • How do I redeem my reward?

If you have supported a successful project, then you should be receiving your reward as promised from the Creator by their estimated date. The Creator can either choose to deliver the reward to the address you shared once you've made a Jaribha account or request that you pick it up from a location. Updates will be provided directly by the Creator on how to redeem your rewards.

  • Who is responsible for transferring the rewards to the Supporters?

It is the Creator's responsibility to deliver the rewards as per their promised details. Creators can choose to ask Supporters to pick up their rewards. It is the Supporter's responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address to receive the reward should the Creator want to deliver the reward.
